Set up a SalesForce connection

Want to deliver leads directly to your sales team with our Salesforce integration? Getting your connection set up is quick.

  1. Navigate to the Leads » Delivery menu in your company's MAC.

  2. Click the "Add Salesforce Webhook" button.

  3. Open your Salesforce account. We will need to generate a "web-to-lead" form.

  4. In Salesforce, navigate to your account setup page. On the setup page, navigate to the "Web-to-Lead Setup".

  5. In your Web-to-Lead setup, ensure your settings are correct. In order for the integration to work properly, ensure that "Require reCAPTCHA verification" is not checked.

If you need to make changes to your web-to-lead settings, click the "Edit" button.

  6. Once you've ensured your settings are correct, click the "Create Web-to-Lead Form" button.

  7. While creating your web-to-lead form, it's important to include the fields your sales team needs from the MediaBrains leads. We recommend including the following fields:

    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email
    • Title (job title)
    • Company (company name)
    • Phone
    • Description (notes from lead)

Important note! Salesforce requires a return URL for the form. This URL will not be used, but is required to create the form. You can input any url here (e.g. your company's homepage, or Google.com, it doesn't matter.)

  8. After clicking "create form", you will be given a code snippet. Copy this code snippet. You will paste this snippet into the MAC to complete the integration.

  9. Copy the ENTIRE code snippet from Salesforce. Paste this code snippet into the "Salesforce Webhook" form in the MAC.

  10. After pasting the code snippet, click the "Discover fields" button. Your Salesforce fields will be imported for you to map to the MediaBrains lead fields. Mapping fields is quick, just select the corresponding "salesforce field name" from the dropdown next to the "Our field name" - for example, our "leadFirstName" field should be mapped to your "first_name" field in Salesforce.

  11. After you've finished mapping your fields, create a name for your Salesforce integration.

  12. Scroll down to click the "Save" button. Your Salesforce integration is now complete!
